Your First Visit

We pride ourselves in providing comprehensive care to our community. An initial appointment at our office usually consists of a comprehensive examination, during which we take x-rays and photographs to evaluate, diagnose, and review your treatment options, and provide a cleaning service unique to your current needs. If it has been more than 3 years since your last dental cleaning, your first visit will be with only one of our doctors and you will not meet with the hygienist until a later date. While we would like to complete treatment as soon as possible, please keep in mind that a complex medical history or treatment plan may require further evaluation and a second appointment.

All patients are required to have an exam and x-rays. We are unable to do “just a cleaning”.

We also see folks for urgent and emergency care. At this type of visit, we will complete a problem focused exam and take only the x-ray(s) we need to address the immediate concern(s).

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of scheduling your appointment:

• Any x-rays taken by a previous dentist, if applicable.
• All of the information necessary to submit your dental insurance claim. This information is: the dental insurance company, subscriber/member ID, group ID, and the name, date of birth, and mailing address of the subscriber.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

Please alert the office if you have any medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) and a list of all medications you’re currently taking (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, steroids, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).
